Ann and the Kirkland Family,

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. Throughout the years Ann and I have worked together, we have shared many stories about our families. I will never forget her sharing with me after Tommy was diagnosed with cancer. She told about when they were growing up and how Tommy and Ken would play soldiers in the back yard. I played a song that a friend had just given me "Soldier's Again". Through your sadness and tremendous loss, may all rejoice that Tommy is now free of pain. May you be comforted in knowing he's in Heaven and has finally won the battle

Mr. Thomas, Mrs Barabara, Ann, and Ken - Tommy was my best friend during our high school days and afterwards. Even though our paths seldom crossed in the later years, I still cherish his friendship and the memories we made in high school and the years afterward. He was like a brother to me. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, however it is temporary because of the assurance we have in Jesus and the promise of a glorious reuion in heaven. Prayerfully, John Lewis

I just wanted to let you know that I have very fond memories of Tommy, beginning when he and I shared a table in Miss Ingram's first grade class. The years seem to have flown by but it still seems like yesterday at times. I pray that God will give you the comfort and strength to get through your loss. I know Tommy fought a long hard battle, but I also know that he has won the victory.

Words cannot express the deep heartache and sorrow we feel for your tremendous loss of Tommy. He, our friends, and I were close growing up, living on the same street in Ashford, and I loved him like a brother. He remains in my heart and fond memories that way, and will be sorely missed. Please accept my deepest sympathy, love, thoughts, and prayers. God Bless you, Dear Kirkland Family.

I will long remember the good times many years ago with Tommy, myself and Carla Whitehurst Skeen. Now, they both have left us, but their friendships will forever remain in my heart. My loving condolences are with you, his family. I know your time here on earth with him had to be a wonderfully blessed experience. He was a wonderful person. God be with you all!

My condolences to your family. My name is Maureen and I met Tommy in 2008 at a Thyca Conference in St.Louis. I have the same cancer as Tommy and we chatted about some of our challenges as I was going to see his surgeon about a second opinion (I'm from Canada). I remember Tommy being the most kindest and reassuring person to ease my mind and fears. He gave me his business card...today, I found it. I just looked him up to find he is no longer with us --- I am so sorry, I will fondly remember my conversations with a special soul.

Happy trails brother of the spirit. We met in Bimini, Bahamas 20 years ago and visited the "healing spring" out in the mangroves with your first wife and son Kirk. I am sorry I missed you. Peace be with you.
