Elaeir Fideir

Elaeir Fideir, known fondly as Elaeir by his friends and family, passed away on April 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Born on December 14, 1953, in Alabama, Elaeir was a man whose life was characterized by kindness, selflessness, and an intriguing personality that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He spent his final days surrounded by the love and care of his family in Thomasville, Georgia.

Elaeir's early life in Alabama laid the foundation for the man he would become. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Helen Augusta McClain Johnson, and his dear brother, Homer Curry. Elaeir's family was central to his life, and he is survived by his cousins Rona Edge Walker, Elizabeth Edge, Janie Edge Wright, Turner Willie Edge, Marion Edge, Edward Edge, and Sandra Edge Morris Thomas, as well as many great, great, great cousins who will miss his presence dearly.

A man of deep conviction and duty, Elaeir proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. His service was a testament to his bravery and his selfless nature. After his time in the military, Elaeir dedicated himself to the care of his brother, Homer, until his passing. This act of devotion spoke volumes about Elaeir's character; he was a man who put the needs of others before his own without a second thought.

Elaeir's interests and hobbies were a reflection of his interesting and kind-hearted spirit. He had a love for cartoons that brought joy and laughter into his life, and he was also an avid reader who found solace and excitement in the pages of books.
