Vernell Ott Obituary
Vernell Ott, a resident of Newton, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Westside Terrace. She was 70 years old.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Bimbo Turner officiating.
Vernell was born in Dothan, Alabama on May 6, 1952. She attended Vivian B. Adams for 30 years where she enjoyed making crafts and making new friends. Vernell never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Blondell Ott.
Survivors include her siblings, Hoyt (Paula) Ott of Huntsville, Bobby (Linda) Ott of Newton, Faye Riley of Newville and LB (That) Ott of Slocomb; several nieces and nephews; and special friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Westside Terrace and Kindred Hospice for all their love and support they showed Vernell.
