Randy Allen Obituary
Randy Burton Allen, 61, of Dothan passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 following a brief illness at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.
A celebration of Randy's life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Patrick Trawick and Rev. Bradley Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10-11 am.
Randy was a long-time member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. In recent years, he served as an usher at Church of The Highlands in Opelika, AL. Randy was also a member of several small groups that were always a ministry for him. He was a loving husband, wonderful father and beloved "Ran Ran".
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Burton Allen.
Randy is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lana Trawick Allen; his son Daniel Allen (Emily); and his two daughters, Shannon Lusk (James) and Mallory Allen; he also leaves behind his four grandchildren, Dawson and Addie Allen, Lucy and Lottie Lusk; and his mother, JoAnn Allen, two sisters, Pattie Stadler (Paul), Amy Allen, and his brother, Ronnie Allen (Rhonda).
