Martha Jane Mills

Martha Jane "Marty" Mills, a resident of Ozark, Alabama, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. She was 78.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Martha was born on April 9, 1944 in Dothan, Al. She lived in the Wiregrass area most of her life and grew up with the community on Foster Street. Martha was a dedicated wife and mother to her family whom she deeply loved. She was a selfless woman who always thought of others before herself. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Froshauer and Joann Walker; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. JJ Walker.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Earl Eugene Mills; her children, Tina Jean Ferguson, EJ Mills and his partner, Lewis Wolfgang and Cameron Mitchell Mills; her grandchildren, Carmen Mills and Nathan Childree; her great-grandchild, Arianna Mills; her two sisters; her special aunt, Jane Irene Walker Heitzenrater; her life-long friend, Helen Peters Ryals; and a host of extended family members and friends.
