Gary Knox Obituary

Gary Wade Knox, a resident of Dothan, Alabama formerly of Cresskill, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at a local hospital. He was 62.

Gary's graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Don Clark officiating.

Gary was born on September 27, 1959 in Englewood, New Jersey and lived his early years in Cresskill, New Jersey where he graduated from Cresskill High School. He was employed in the hotel industry with the food and banquet services. Gary met and married the love of his life, Donna Alday and they were married for over 20 years before her death. Later, he was employed with TSA and then, the US Customs and Border Patrol from which he retired. Gary was a very giving and caring brother who did so much for others. As children, he loved family trips to Cape Cod, and then as teenagers, our trips to Hilton Head Island.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John and Charlotte Knox and his aunt, Stella Skrzypski; his wife, Donna Alday; and his siblings, Linda Knox and John Knox, Jr.

Survivors include his children; Anthony Kreis, Wendell Gobbell and Nichole Tate; his grandchildren, Evan Tate and Morgan Tate; his siblings, Ronald Knox and Karen (Stephen) Ix; and several nieces and nephews.
