Cynthia Hill Obituary

Cynthia "Cindy" Hill, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence in Ozark, Alabama on April 26, 2023, after a courageous battle with ALS. Born on July 8, 1954, in Donalsonville, Georgia, Cindy lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.

Cindy was a proud and devoted mother to her two sons, Mike (MaLeah) Hill and James (Jessica) Hill, who survive her. She was a doting grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Timothy (Farha) Tharpe, Madison Hill, Nathan Hill, Aaron Hill, Payton Hill, and Braydon Hill, and a loving great-grandmother to William Tharpe and Daniel Tharpe. Cindy is also survived by her siblings, Barney (Donna) Creamer, Don (Jenny) Creamer, and Sheila (Matthew) Wright, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Hill, her parents, Barney and Edna Creamer, her grandson, Tyler Tharpe, and her brothers, Ricky, Farrell, Stanley, and Randall Creamer.

Cindy's love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her home was always filled with laughter, joy, and the delicious aroma of her home-cooked meals. In her free time, Cindy enjoyed planting flowers, creating a beautiful haven for all to enjoy. Her love for the beach, especially Panama City Beach, was no secret - she adored swimming in the ocean and watching dolphins play in the surf. Most of all, Cindy loved spending time with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Loving, gentle, and kind - these are the words that best describe Cindy. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others in need. In the words of Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Cindy's kind spirit and loving nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.

As we remember Cindy, we are reminded of the love, warmth, and kindness she brought to our lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire us all.

A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 2 pm on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30-2 pm. The family asks that you keep Cindy's gentle spirit in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and medical professionals who provided support and care for Cindy during her battle with ALS.
