Willie Mae Goodwin

Willie Mae Goodwin, a residence of Extendicare Health and Rehab passed away early Friday morning, March 27, 2009. She was 86.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Gardens of Memories with Robert Byrd directing. The visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday at Sunset Funeral Home.

Mrs. Goodwin retired after 48 years from Headstrom Union and retired as a lifetime member from the ladies VFW Auxiliary. Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Sanders of Webb; husband, Gene Goodwin; son, David McMichael; son-in-law, Joe Ben Brantley, Sr.; grandson, Joe Ben Brantley, Jr.; sisters Laura Riley, Mary Tedder, Lucy Nicewonder and Margaret Cugowski and a brother Lex Sanders.Survivors include a daughter Barbara Brantley of White Oak Creek on Lake Eufaula; a son Sam Goodwin and his wife Sharon of Lawerenceville, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Serving as active pallbearers will be Ridge Skipper, Curtis Hillman III, Brent Goodwin, Bobby Monday, Joe Cobb and Ricky Tindell. Burial Date: January 1, 1970
