William Kelly “Bill” Sizemore, born January 2, 1947, in Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama.
Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Sizemore; his daughters, Kelly Mason, Leslee Shirley, and Teresa Rule; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Melissa Sizemore; and his sister, Alyce Buzzy Sizemore Mackenzie. He also leaves behind his special granddaughter, Brittani Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Catherine Sizemore; his son, John Dwight Sizemore; his siblings, Tommy, Richard, Johnny, and Margaret Sizemore; great granddaughter, Haleia Jane Moyer; and his nephew, Johnny Mackenzie.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a cook for eight years. His time in the Navy was an important part of his life and reflected his dependable nature and willingness to serve others.
To his family, he was known as “Pop.” He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and valued the moments they shared together. Bill had a good sense of humor and a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome.
He enjoyed cooking, drinking a good cup of coffee, and following horse racing. He also liked watching hockey, football, and baseball. These were simple things he enjoyed throughout his life and gave him many opportunities to relax and spend time doing what he loved.
Bill will be remembered as a loving family man who cared deeply for those around him. His family will cherish the memories they made with him, the stories they shared, and the time they were blessed to have together.
Bill Sizemore lived a life centered around family, service, and the people he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on through the family he leaves behind.
