Wallace Shariff Rivers

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Rivers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service.

Wallace was born on September 15, 1976 and lived his early years in Kinsey, AL. He was graduate of Houston County High School and was employed with Hazel Hurst. Wallace was a people person who never met a stranger. He was a free spirit who was always looking for an adventure. Wallace loved to shoot pool every chance he had.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Rivers and Janice Walker; his grandfather, Odell Rivers; his grandmother, Bernice Rivers; his great grandmother, Essie Mae Kelly; and his brother, Waymon Rivers.

Survivors include his daughter, Chloe Rivers; his seven brothers, Jerry Rivers, Akbar Rivers, Maurice Johnson, Chris Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Willie Johnson and Kevin Dorsey; his grandmother, Shirley Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
