We are gathered in memory and celebration of the life of Victor "Bucky" Williams, who passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, in Ozark, Alabama. Born on February 3, 1943, in Miami, Florida, Victor was a man whose kindness made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved wife of over 20 years, Ruth Williams, and their blended family, a testament to his loving and inclusive spirit. He is also survived by his daughters, Jean Marie, Sabrina, and Laura; his sons, Victor, Larry, and Chuckie; stepdaughters, Dayna Walker and Mary Miller, along with her husband Rickey. Victor's siblings, Jean Dess, Shirley, and Wayne, also hold fond memories of their brother's warmth and generosity. He was a grandfather to 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Victor's two loyal dogs, Precious and Lilly, were his constant companions and will miss his gentle presence.
Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Williams, his sisters, Betty and Mary, and his daughter Vickie.
A proud veteran of the Army, Victor served his country with honor and dedication for 3 years. In his younger years, Victor was an avid fan of stock car racing, both as a participant and a spectator. His passion for the sport transitioned from racing himself to attending races and watching them on TV.
Special thanks are extended to the team at First Choice Hospice, especially his two special nurses, Michelle Thompson and Sarah Miller, who provided exceptional care and comfort to Victor in his final days. Their compassion and dedication were a source of strength for Victor and his family.
