Thomas L. Baell

Thomas L. Baell, 74, of Dothan passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Dwayne Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 12-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. At all other time the family will be at the home of Todd and Joyce Messick, 1322 Scott Road, Slocomb, AL.

Mr. Baell was born March 15, 1940 in Jakin, GA and moved to Dothan at an early age. He was employed with Stephenson-Smith IGA for 42 years and also worked with Freeman Shur-Value and retired in 2010. He was a member of Rainbow Meadows Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Carrie Baell in 2012.

Survivors include his daughters, Joyce Todd Messick, Martha Neal Mitchem, Sandra Baell, and Freida Darrel Sells; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Gallagher; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Messick, Cody Mitchem, Colton Mitchem, David Sell, and John Sells.
