She retired from the Ozark City School System. The love for her family was unwavering. She was renowned for her wedding cakes, birthday cakes, her famous chocolate cake, and tea cakes. Her homemade biscuits, made three times a day, were legendary in their own right. She was a servant to everyone, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her home was a haven for the neighborhood children who knew they could always find a warm meal and an open heart.
A woman of many talents, Susanna also loved sewing. Her giving heart extended to helping with 4-H projects and always being there for anyone in need. She adored watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play ball, who she tirelessly supported at every game, and will surely be remembered cheering from the sidelines.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed doing word searches and playing cards with her Yah Yah Sisters every week and watching Alabama Football. She always reminded her family, that they could do all things through Christ. Her faith was unwavering, her love unconditional, and her generosity unmatched.
Susanna was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. She was fearless, a prayer warrior, and deeply loved her church. She knew her Bible like the back of her hand and lived her life by its teachings. She served many years as a Sunday school teacher as well as serving on numerous committees. She was also a member of the Young At Heart Senior Adult Ministry at Bethel. She was a woman of great faith, love, and generosity. She was a beacon of light in this world, a testament to the power of a faithful and loving heart. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts and our community that can never be filled. We take comfort in knowing that she is now in the arms of the Lord, free from pain and suffering, rejoicing in the glory of eternal life.
