Sudie Elaine Green Fluker, lovingly known as Sue, passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on October 1, 1946, in Grimes, Alabama, she spent her final days surrounded by love in Webb, Alabama, with her devoted husband, Ken.
Sue was a proud graduate of Dale County High School and earned her BA from Troy State University, where she played drums in the Sound of the South. She had a deep appreciation for covered bridges, especially the Coheelee Creek Bridge in Hilton, Georgia, where Ken proposed to her.
Sue’s heart was full of love for her family, her pets, Alabama football, and quilting. She had a special gift for cooking and was a certified culinary judge at chili and barbecue competitions, where she was respected and cherished by her peers.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Fluker; sisters Shirley Lindsey and Sara Glover; mother-in-law Clodene Fluker; sister-in-law Dianne Hannah; her beloved cats Sylvester, Buttercup, and Spunky; and many nieces and nephews. She now joins her parents, Fletcher and Ruthie Parish Green, and her sister, Vivian Moore.
Sue’s warmth, wisdom, and joy will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
