Andy Annunziata, 87, of Dothan, AL, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 6, 2026, while surrounded by his family.
Andy was born in New York but called Dothan home for more than half of his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Janie, the love of his life, with whom he shared more than 60 years. He is survived by four cherished children: Barbara Deal (Tony), Maria Richardson (Jeff), Diane Pigg (Randy), and Michael Annunziata (Sarah). He is also survived by his brother, Richard Annunziata (Jeanette); grandchildren Andrea, Joshua, Natasha, Elysebetha, William, Gabriel, Eloise, and David; and seven great-grandchildren.
Andy’s dedication to providing for his family led him to excel in his work. During his career with Xerox, he earned commendation awards for excellence in service for 24 consecutive years.
Andy loved people, good conversation, and a hearty laugh. He was always giving of himself and was quick to offer a helping hand. He loved working with both hands and power tools, building numerous pieces of furniture for his family, and making improvements to almost everything that entered the house. One rarely had to go farther than his garage to find him “piddling” around, as he called it.
He loved traveling with Janie and spending time with his family. His greatest treasures in life were his children, and he was so proud of each of them. He was a giver, both of his love and his time; to him, the two were one and the same.
He relished his time with “the guys” from across the street. They brought him so much joy and comfort during his last years, and our family will always be grateful to them. And finally, Cassidy, you made our last hours with him bearable and sweet. Thank you.
