Rosa Mae Hendrix passed away on January 13, 2026, in Dothan, Alabama, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 10, 1948, in Blakely, Georgia, Rosa lived a life grounded in hard work, kindness, and deep devotion to those she loved.
After many years of dedicated service, Rosa retired from Michelin in 1994. She was respected by her coworkers for her strong work ethic, dependability, and friendly spirit. Her involvement with various associations reflected her belief in community, teamwork, and supporting one another.
Rosa was known as a strong, selfless woman with a warm sense of humor that brought comfort and laughter to those around her. She took great pride in her family and found her greatest joy in time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also treasured her loyal dog, who was a constant companion and source of happiness.
Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer Roy and Rosa Frances Page; and his sister, Mary Ann Money.
She is survived by her son, Tracy Phillips (Kim); her daughter, Tammy Henderson (Rickey); her grandchildren, Daniel (Katie), Noah, Austin (Erica), Alexis, Jayden, and Deshaun; her great-grandchildren, Greyson and Gracie; and her nieces and nephews, Renee Lamb, Cindy Money, Jeri Money, and Nikki Blackmon (Tommy).
Rosa was a devoted grandmother who celebrated her grandchildren’s accomplishments and offered steady guidance and encouragement. Her love, strength, and gentle wisdom will continue to live on through them.
Rosa Mae Hendrix will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, resilience, and quiet generosity will remain in the hearts of her family and friends for years to come.
A celebration of Rosa’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Following the service on Friday, friends are invited to visit with the family at 1605 Montcliff Drive, Dothan, Alabama.
