Robert Neil Moore, after a long illness, passed into glory on Monday, November 22, 2021, welcomed by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Robert was a resident of Dothan, Alabama. He was born in Samson, Alabama on March 3, 1961 and moved to Dothan in 1998 where he lived until his death.
A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday December 6, 2021 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
Well known for his construction skills, especially carpentry, Robert was involved in the building of many homes in Dothan, Enterprise and surrounding areas. Robert was a master craftsman and after his retirement, he demonstrated his skills by taking scrap lumber, parts of dead trees and other discarded materials and converting them into works of art; all of which honored God and His Son. Robert was best known for his Christian faith, his love of Christian music and his two dogs. Perhaps his greatest concern was who would care for them when he was gone. He approached his death with this comment, "I'm not afraid to die." He loved to talk and always had a story to tell. Robert will be remembered by those who knew him for his selflessness, kindness and willingness to help others. He will be missed by all.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charles Samuel Moore; and his mother, Jewell Bowden Moore.
Survivors include his two brothers, Kenneth Wayne Moore and James Charles Moore; his sister, Mary Frances Moore Baxley; and Denise Moore, a very special friend and her family.
