Raymond Beacham

Aug 1, 1954 — Sep 18, 2026

Raymond Beacham, age 72, departed this life on September 18, 2026. He was born on August 1, 1954, to the late Willie C. and Eloise Beacham.

From an early age, Raymond accepted Christ into his life and became a faithful member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Midland City, Alabama. He attended Dale County High School, where he formed friendships that lasted throughout his life.

A man of dedication and strong work ethic, Raymond was employed by Twitchell in Dothan, Alabama, for many dedicated years. Later in life, he shared his industrious spirit at Ferguson Farms, continuing to work faithfully until his health no longer permitted.

Throughout his life, Raymond was widely known for his tireless work ethic, infectious sense of humor, and profound devotion to his family. He found his greatest joy in the presence of those he loved, filling rooms with laughter, warmth, and stories that will be treasured for generations.

Raymond leaves behind a rich legacy of love, integrity, hard work, and cherished memories.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; Willie C. and Eloise Beacham; brother, Robert Earl Beacham; and his nephews, Bobby Ray Thomas and Anthony “Hank” Truitt. He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory; devoted wife of 44 years, Sarah Truitt; children, Raymond Beacham Jr. (Edresse) and Octavia Smith; stepchildren, Marie Truitt, Shannon Truitt, and James Truitt (Alexis); and grandchildren, Mackenzie Thomas, Vanity Greenwood, Nehemiah Truitt, and Nyla Truitt; great grandson, De’Anthony Simpson; sisters, Vera Beacham, Dean Smith, and Willene Thomas; brothers, Alvin Beacham, Curtis Beacham, and Will C. Beacham; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, church family, and dear friends.

"His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave and the joy he shared will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved him."

May he rest in eternal peace, and may his memory forever be a blessing.
