Randy's journey began in the southern charm of Atlanta, where his childhood was steeped in the values of hard work and community. After receiving his industrial degree from Georgia Tech, he furthered his education by earning a Law Degree from Georgia State University, equipping him with a unique blend of practical skills and legal expertise. Randy's commitment to his country was evident through his service as a Green Beret, where he completed two tours in Vietnam with honor and courage as a Marine, serving as an attachment in the US Army Special Forces.

Randy found his calling with Granger Lumber. At the young age of 16, he had started driving lumber trucks, and his industrious spirit never waned. His love for his family was immeasurable, a sentiment shared by his beloved wife of 38 years, Lea Ann Rogers, whom he married on a hopeful New Year's Eve. Randy is survived by his son, Clinton Ashley Rogers, who, along with his wife Thu-Thuy, gave Randy the joy of being a grandfather to Caroline, Piper, and Cooper Rogers.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Ava Goodson Rogers by his brother, Alvin Herbert Rogers, and by his in-laws, Charles and Peggy Johnson.
