Patricia Effie Segers

Patricia Effie Segers, known to many as “Pat,” passed away on July 14, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 70. She was born on December 7, 1954, in Covington County, Alabama.

Pat graduated from Dothan High School and went on to earn her degree from Troy University. She spent more than 20 years working as a lab technician at Flowers Hospital and Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Known for her attention to detail and steady work ethic, she was respected by both her colleagues and the patients she served.

Outside of work, Pat lived a quiet life. She enjoyed browsing local stores, spending time at home, and caring for her beloved dog, Piper. She also appreciated the peace of the beach and had fond memories of her time living in Florala.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward and Annie Merle Jackson Segers, and her brother, Danny Segers. She is survived by her aunt, Joyce Holman; her cousin, Tanya Holman; her nephew, Daniel Preston Segers (Amber); and a circle of friends who will remember her with respect and affection.

Pat will be remembered for her steady presence, her loyalty to those she cared about, and the quiet dignity with which she lived her life.
