Nelavonya "Nell" Walls Alderman

Nelavonya Nell Walls Alderman passed away at her home in Midland City, Alabama, Wednesday morning, February 26, 2014, after battling lung cancer. She was 61.

A family service will be held at Sunset Funeral Home in Midland City. Burial will be at Oak Forest Cemetery, next to her parents; Nelson & Mary Lou Walls, in Pontotoc, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents & two brothers, Nelson Walls, Jr. & James Walls.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Craig Alderman of Midland City; two brothers: Louis Walls Shirley of Babbi, AL and Jimmy Walls Suerita of Okeechobee, FL; four sisters: Virginia Ginny Walls Jack of Portage, MI, Mary Ann Johnson of Deltona, FL, Billie Frances Cotton Jim of Seminole, AL, and Donna Jean Hayes of Babbi, AL; a daughter: LuAnn Whitten Steve of Dothan, AL, grand-children: RayLee, West, and Daniel Whitten, and Christopher Alderman of Pinkard, AL, and step-son: Kyle Alderman of Ashford, AL; also, her extremely spoiled German Sheppard’s, Sheba and Radar.
