Lena Maxine Friar, age 76, died peacefully in her Dothan home, on Monday, June 11, 2012.
Born in West Virginia, she raised a family in Maryland and lived in seven other states before retiring in Dothan Alabama. Maxine had a full life beyond work and family as she loved to travel, cook, entertain, and golf. She will be missed by her family and friends
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Maxine is survived by her son Gary Friar and his wife Cindy of Florida, her granddaughter Karen Friar, her nieces Paula Hughes, Cathy Beckwith and Susan Cockerham and her nephews John Gray and Robert Gray.
A private burial for Maxine was held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Dothan on Thursday, June 14.
