Julius “Downtown” Brown of Headland, Alabama passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was 67.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park Chapel. Burial will follow in Jesus First Church Cemetery in Headland, Alabama with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2017 from 5-7 pm.
Mr. Brown was born March 29, 1949 in Henry County and he resided all his life in Headland. He was employed with Golden Peanut Company for 38 years and was a member of Jesus First Church where he served as deacon.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 48 years, Verdell Brown; two sons, Julius Brown, Jr. and Larry (Contine) Brown; four daughters, Jacqueline (Tellis) Williams, Julia Langston, Lateisha Brown and Veronica Brown; 7 grandchildren, Kenneth (Latisha) Morris, Jr., Kia (Lafeal) Williams, Jennifer Morris, Derrick Francis, Jr., Julius Gibbs, Shavii Langston, Jasmine Langston and Kobe Brown; 5 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Carl Brown and Fredrick Brown; his sisters, Ruth Lynn, Janice Wiggins and Rosemary Rambo; his aunt, Rose Guillory; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Deacon Early Jackson and Deacon Lonzie Woods. < /p> ) Burial Date February 10, 2017
