February 2, 1959 — December 5, 2025

Joyce A. Perryman, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, at the age of 66 in Dothan, Alabama. Born on February 2, 1959, in Panama City, Florida, Joyce was known for her vibrant spirit and unyielding devotion to her family, friends, and faith.

Joyce's life was a testament to her caring nature and boundless energy. Throughout her years, she was deeply involved in Christian service and found great joy in participating in Bible studies. Her relationship with God was paramount, and she lived by the reassuring mantra, "God got me," which she shared with everyone she encountered. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her loving and kind demeanor, touching the lives of all who knew her.

In her professional life, Joyce was a dedicated worker, often holding two to three jobs simultaneously. She worked in various capacities, including food service, at Kingsford, and in several warehouses. Her work ethic was unmatched, and she approached every task with the same level of enthusiasm and excellence.

Joyce had a zest for life that was infectious. She never met a stranger and seldom complained, always finding the silver lining in every situation. In her younger years, Joyce enjoyed shopping and watching her favorite game shows on TV. Her happy and spunky nature was a source of joy for her family and friends.

Family was the cornerstone of Joyce's life. She is survived by her loving husband, Sam Perryman, and their cherished children: Tommy Blandenburg (Tiffany), Sam Perryman, Jr (Kewanna), Dedrick Helms, Latasha Blandenburg (Kenneth Aaron), Joyce Elaine Tillman (Albert), Commaneci Smith, Rosanda Henderson (AJ), and Atica Thomas (Eric). Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will remember her warmth and guidance.

Joyce was the beloved sister to Jimmy Wilburn (Gussie), Frankie Fagan (Isaac), Debbie Boyd, David Carter, Jimmy Carter (Tina), and Gloria Williams (Charles). Her siblings, along with a host of nieces and nephews, will fondly recall her busy and inquisitive nature, always eager to know about their lives and offer a helping hand.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lorene King, who instilled in her the values of love and faith that she carried throughout her life.

Joyce's memory will be cherished as that of a woman who was faith-filled, loving, and kind. Her presence was a gift to those around her, and she will be dearly missed. The impact of her spirit will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to experience her joy, love, and unwavering faith.
