Joy Mcdaniel Baldwin

Joy McDaniel Baldwin, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her residence. She was 89. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Baldwin was born in Gueydan, LA and moved to the Wiregrass Area in 1962. She was a daughter of the late Eunice and John McDaniel. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Mickey, and a son Warrant Officer Larry G. Baldwin, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1970.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Harry F. Baldwin; two daughters, Kim Richardson and Terry Richard of Dothan; one brother, John McDaniel of Centreville, MS; three sisters, Carol Paul of Alexandria, LA, Sherry Velarde of Queen Creek, AZ, and Jeri LeJeune of Sunset, LA; three grandchildren, Zachary Richardson of Destin, FL, Todd Richard and Jennifer Stevens of Lafayette, LA; several great-grandchildren; a very special friend, Karen Becker of Dothan.

Mrs. Baldwin was a Gold Star Mother and a member of Both the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliaries. She will be missed.
