Joe Marvin Bradley

November 24, 1943 — September 13, 2025

Joe Marvin Bradley, Jr., 81, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Goshen, Alabama, on November 24, 1943, to the late Joe Marvin Bradley, Sr. and Nettie Ann Bradley.

Joe leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, most notably to his beloved wife of 45 years, Sonia McDonald. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. He leaves behind his loving son, Joseph "Joey" Bradley (Michelle). Joe's joy was multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathan, and Christopher Bradley, who will carry forward his gentle nature and knack for problem-solving. His younger brother, David Bradley, also remains to honor Joe's memory.

Joe now joins his late parents, Joe Marvin Bradley, Sr. and Nettie Ann Bradley, as well as his daughter, Elizabeth "Lisa" Ann Bradley in eternal rest.

Joe proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, a period of his life that instilled in him a profound sense of duty and camaraderie. After his military service, Joe started his career as a lineman at GTE and later advanced to a technician. His colleagues respected him for his work ethic and ingenuity, and many became lifelong friends. When he retired as a technician, Joe left behind a professional legacy marked by dedication and excellence.

Upon retirement, Joe and Sonia moved to the sunny climate of Florida, a place that allowed Joe to indulge in his passion for traveling. He and Sonia shared several memorable cruises and would often visit Cedar Key Island, where they created cherished memories that Sonia will hold dear forever. Joe's interests were not limited to travel; he was an avid tinkerer, with a particular passion for computers and electronics.

Those who knew Joe will remember him as the kind of man who was always available to lend a hand or a listening ear. His selflessness was as natural to him as breathing, and his ability to fix not just gadgets but hearts will be sorely missed.
