James "Hunter" Hunter Corbin

November 23, 2004 — November 17, 2025

James Hunter Corbin, known as Hunter to his family and friends, passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 20. He was born on November 23, 2004, in Enterprise, Alabama, and spent his final moments in Midland City surrounded by family.

Hunter was the son of Brandy Corbin and Michael Majors, and Brian and Jennifer Corbin. He was deeply connected to his grandparents: Jessie and Carol Brooks, Gary and Nikki Corbin, Linda Bowes, Paul and Suzie Bush, Johnny and Tammy Creamer, and Tom and Rebecca Merritt. He is also survived by his siblings—Dalton and Caymen Corbin, River Majors, Kaitlyn and Tucker Daniel, and Rex Gerber—as well as his nieces, Layla and Brooklyn Daniel, and Dahlia Corbin. Many aunts, uncles, and cousins also mourn his loss. His dog, GoBo, and his bearded dragon, Rango, were constant companions.

He is preceded in death by his aunts, Kristina Corbin and Joan Boggan, as well as his great grandparents, Miyoko Corbin, Donnie Corbin, and James and Ursula Alexander.

Hunter graduated from Dale County High School and worked at Domino’s Pizza as a delivery driver, along with positions at DSI and King Church Furniture. He was known for his strong work ethic, straightforward nature, and determination.

He enjoyed video games, motorcycles, and hunting, and he valued time with his family above all else. Hunter could be stubborn at times, but he was protective, loyal, and caring.

A service to honor Hunter’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1–2 p.m. prior to the service.
