Jacob Glenn Aldridge

July 17, 2024 — July 31, 2024

Jacob Glenn Aldridge, affectionately known to those closest to him as "Little Man," was a beacon of pure love and joy during his brief time on Earth. Born on July 17, 2024, in Pensacola, Florida, Jacob was a cherished soul whose life, though fleeting, left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched. On July 31, 2024, in Dothan, Alabama, this gentle spirit took his untimely leave from us, leaving behind a legacy of love that far exceeds the confines of time.

In his two weeks with us, Jacob was enveloped in the adoration of his family. He is survived by his loving parents, Bobby and Samantha Aldridge; his caring brother, Stephen Aldridge; and his doting sister, Rayne Paez, of Ozark, AL. His great-grandfather, Bobby Glenn English, and his grandparents, Debbie and Steve Aldridge of Ozark, Manuel and Wanda Cabrera of Ozark, and William and Bereka Paez of Enterprise, will forever cherish the memories of his precious moments. His aunts and uncles, Kevin and Heather Messer of Ozark, Stephanie and Keith Nelson of Enterprise, Hayden Cabrera of Ozark, Nicky and Josh Wright of Tennessee, Katy and Michael Prox of Enterprise, Becky and Charlie Malysse of Enterprise, and Samuel Ferrer of Enterprise, as well as numerous extended family members, will hold him dear in their hearts. Jacob was preceded in passing by his GG Shirley English, his grandmother, Susan Paez; his great grandfather, Eneas Paez, and his great grandmothers, Phyllis Paez and Barbara Hestroup.

Although his time was short, Jacob, was a vessel of infinite tenderness and spirit. He exuded loving energy, and his gentle presence was a comfort to all who had the privilege of snuggling close to him. His joyful eyes sparkled with an unspoken wisdom and a spirited curiosity that could light up any room. He responded to music with a particular affection for the song "Echo" by Charity Gayle, which seemed to resonate with his young soul.

Jacob’s life, though momentary, reminds us of the profound impact one individual can have, regardless of the length of their journey. He was the embodiment of the inspiring words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Indeed, Jacob has become an inseparable part of us, a tender memory etched into our very being.

His presence was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of life. In his silence, he taught us to listen more closely to the unspoken, to cherish every moment, and to love without reservation. Jacob’s life urges us to embrace each day with the same joy and spirited energy he brought into this world.

As we bid farewell to Jacob, we are reminded that life's worth is not measured by its duration but by the love we share and the joy we bring to others. His legacy is a call to action to live each day with intention, to spread kindness and joy, and to treasure the loving connections we forge along the way.

Jacob Glenn Aldridge, our “Little Man”, may have had the smallest feet, but he left the most profound footprints on our hearts. He was a living reminder that the smallest things can indeed take up the most room in our hearts. Let us honor his memory by living as he did: with love, with joy, and with a gentle spirit that brings light to the darkest of places.

A celebration of life will be held 11 am Saturday August 3, 2024 at Calvary Assembly of God Church in Clio, Alabama with Rev. Randy Adams officiating. Jacob will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the celebration. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the ceremony at the church.
