Gloria Faye Christensen

Gloria Faye Christensen, 78, a resident of Dothan passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015 at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Christensen was born March 15, 1937 in Ashford, AL and resided there most of her life. She was a homemaker and loved flowers and enjoyed writing poetry.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years Carlton Roy Christensen; sons, Charles Roy Christensen, Jeffrey Daniel Christensen, and Bryan Keith Christensen; daughters, Yvonne Cannon and Marie Cannon; grandchildren, Michael William Besse, Lisa Marie Gomez, Joshua David Besse, Shana Nicole Cannon, Justin David Cannon, and Laura Ashley Cannon; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Ray Danford; several nieces and nephews.
