George Alvie Bullard left this earth to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 14th.
He was a man of character and fiercely independent, joining the US Navy at the age of 17 and serving honorably for eight years. He was a die hard Crimson Tide fan, no matter what kind of year they were having. He never found a "what if?" that didn't tickle his sense of wonder, and he loved all things fantasy and sci-fi. He was a big kid at heart, and took great joy in the accomplishments of his own kids and grandkids.
He was greeted in the Lord Jesus's presence by his father and mother, George Dewey and Wilma Bullard, his sister, Olivia Holloway, and many aunts, uncles, and loved ones. He is survived by his brother Dennis (Amy) Bullard, sister Susan (Georgie) Cotton, two children Jeremy (Mary) Bullard and Sharmeen (Kenneth) Cross, and six grandchildren, Shelton, Trenton, and Lauren Cross, and Olivia, Caleb, and Madison Bullard, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services will be private, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family's PayPal account at nashdude@hotmail.com
To those who are alive and remain, Dad would certainly express his love for Jesus Christ, and his wishes that all would come to know Him as Savior, but as to parting words, he would most likely say, "Lord, forgive me, and pardon my French, but Roll Damn Tide!"
