Esther Torres-Martinez

Esther Torres-Martinez, vda. de Abraham, 92 years of age, of Dothan passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at a local hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, December 23, 2013 at St. Columba Church Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher and Deacon Axel Blanco officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Ms. Torres-Martinez was born July 7, 1921 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and lived most of her life there. She was a hardware store owner and operator with her husband for over 47 years in Puerto Rico. She moved to Dothan in 2007 where she has been a member of St. Columba Catholic Church. Ms. Torres-Martinez was preceded in death by her husband Francisco Abraham, and a son Francisco L. Abraham.

Survivors include her daughter Elba Abraham; grandchildren, Lynette Juan Cepero, Luis Shirley Abraham, Jorge Abraham, and Jacqueline Abraham; great-grandchildren, Juan F. Cepero, Rosa M. Abraham, Luis F. Abraham, Janny Abraham, Jose Cepero, and Javier Cepero; a daughter-in-law Alba Rivera, vda. de Abraham; several nieces and nephews also survive.
