Ellis Lavon Scott

Ellis Lavon Scott, a resident of Dothan, passed away at his home lovingly surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was 74 years old.

Ellis was born on April 4, 1948 to Mary and Ellis Scott in Brinson, Georgia. He was a graduate of Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Ellis worked as an accountant and office manager. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a devoted fan of Alabama Football.

Ellis is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandy Scott; his children, Lavon, Sonya, Carla, and Summer; his six grandchildren; his two great grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters.
