Ella M. Chambers, a resident of Dothan passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Extendicare Health and Rehab. She was 74.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday February 6, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Friday.Mrs. Chambers was born July 11, 1935 in Pike County and resided in Pinckard for several years prior to moving to Dothan in 1974. Mrs. Chambers was a member of Patterson Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, T.C. Chambers and a sister, Dorothy Jackson, a brother, Timothy Bradsberry.Survivors include her husband, John Lee Chambers, Dothan; two sons, Johnny Chambers, Jr. and his wife, Irene, and Willie Henry and his wife Cynthia Chambers both of Dothan; three daughters, Yovnnie Chambers, Dorothy J. Chambers and Linda A. Chambers all of Dothan; her brother, James Albert Bradsberry, Dade City, FL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a very special friend Rose Hollis.Surviving as active pallbearers will be Gary Chambers, Christopher Chambers, Odell Chambers, Willie Jackson, Rodell Chambers and Daniel Jackson.
