Donald "Shane" Schulman

Donald "Shane" Schulman, a resident of Dothan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at his home. He was 44 years old.

A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Jearld Vinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

Shane was born on December 30, 1978 to Donald and Kathy Schulman in Houston County, AL. He worked and operated the family business, Schulman Wrecker Service. Shane was known to be the life of the party; he could make anyone laugh. Shane enjoyed going to the drag strip and race. Family was at the heart of everything that Shane did, he loved them big and enjoyed spending every moment with them.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schulman; brother, James Daniel Pynes and sister, Brandi Nicole Schulman.

Survivors include his children, Taylor Schulman, Emma Schulman and MaKenzie Schulman; mother, Kathy Schulman; brother, Jerome (Vi) Pynes; special uncle, Ronald Schulman; girlfriend, Amanda Monday; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
