With his family by his side, Don Parker, 79, Spanish Fort, Alabama (formerly of Midland City), left this earth and peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, on August 12, 2022. Don was born in Midland City, Alabama on September 25, 1942 where he spent most of his life. He enjoyed a career in the insurance business with Farm Bureau. He found his job enjoyable and it awarded him many friends and acquaintances. He and his wife raised their only child, Jeri, in Midland City. Don proudly served numerous terms as mayor and council member of his hometown. Don faithfully served the Lord at Midland City United Methodist Church where he was a trustee and served as Chairman of the Board for many years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving daughter, Jeri Parker Cullifer (Jody) of Spanish Fort, Alabama; his pride and joy- his grandchildren, Dr. Justin Tyler Cullifer and Jena Nicole Cullifer of Spanish Fort, Alabama. Three of his 14 siblings, Shirley Dean of Katy, Texas, B.W. Parker of Richmond, Texas and Douglas Parker of Midland City, Alabama. Too many cherished nieces and nephews to list but are all loved! Two brothers-in-law, Charles Stevens (Syretha) of Midland City, Alabama and Ronnie Stevens (Marsha) of Blountstown, Florida. Don leaves behind an adored teacup poodle, Benjamin Buttons (his little buddy). Don was "Papa" to all of Jody, Jeri, Justin and Jena's friends-he was loved well by so many to cherish his memory!
A special thank you to Community Hospice over the last couple of years for loving on their "Papa" so well!
