Bobbie Joyce (Rushing) Emery

Bobbie Joyce Emery, a resident of Dothan, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. She was 82 years old.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday August 25, 2022 in Sunset Memorial Park.

Bobbie was born on January 19, 1940 to the late Washington and Claudine Rushing. Bobbie worked as a beautician for several years and later retired from Gulf Coast Hospital in the sanitation department. She was a loving wife and mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Howard Ward Emery.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Flowers (Richard); her son, Howard E Emery; her grandchildren, Austin Frazier, Dalton Flowers, Benjamin Emery, Zachary Emery; Wyatt Emery, Jenna Emery and Lisa Williams; her great-grandchildren, Trenten Williams, Destiney Williams and Kinsley Frazier; her brothers, Ray Rushing and Carlton Rushing; and a host of extended family members.
