Allen Keith Scofield, passed away on October 10, 2026, in Ashford, Alabama, at the age of 66.
Keith was born on September 26, 1960, in Tampa, Florida, where he spent the early years of his life and formed the foundation of the values that guided him throughout his life. He carried those roots with him wherever he went, and he remained connected to the place of his birth and to the people who loved him. Those who knew Keith will remember him as a kind, loving, and thoughtful man whose quiet strength and steady presence left a lasting impression.
For many years, Keith worked as a truck driver, a career that suited his independent spirit and his love of the open road. Through his work, he traveled to every state in the continental United States before his medical retirement in 2007. He took pride in his work and in the miles he covered, and his years on the road became part of the story of a life lived with determination and purpose. Even while traveling, he remained devoted to the people he loved and never missed a Mother’s Day, no matter where he happened to be.
Keith had many interests that brought him joy over the years. He loved to watch television, especially Star Wars, and he was a devoted fan who never seemed to tire of it. It was often hard to get him away from the television, especially when something caught his attention. He also had a special appreciation for classic cars, and he especially loved his El Camino because his father had owned one. In addition to his interest in cars, he enjoyed watching military documentaries and collecting coins. He also admired bald eagles and wolves, finding something meaningful in their strength and spirit.
Family was very important to Keith, and he was known as a good son, a caring father, and a loving brother, uncle, and relative. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Scofield; his mother, Doris Crowe; his brother, John Scofield; his niece and nephew, Miranda Scofield and Seth Scofield; his great-nephews, Byron and Raiden; and several cousins, including Vicky Pollard. He was preceded in death by his father, Climouth Scofield, and his brother, Paul Scofield. The bond he shared with his family was deep and enduring, and his presence will be missed in countless ways.
Keith’s life will be remembered for his gentle nature, his loyalty, and the love he shared with those around him. He was the kind of man who showed care through his actions, and he left behind memories that will be treasured by his family and friends. His life reflected devotion, humility, and a genuine concern for others, and those qualities will continue to be remembered with affection and gratitude.
Keith will be laid to rest next to his beloved father in Serenity Cemetery in Riverview, Florida. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and his legacy of kindness, love, and thoughtfulness will remain a comfort to those who mourn his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Keith’s honor to the charity of your choice.
