Sara Ann Broussard

May 19, 1974 — August 23, 2023

Dothan

Sara Ann Broussard, known affectionately as "My Little Queen" by her father, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023, in Dothan, Alabama. Born in St. Joseph, MO, on May 19, 1974, she brought joy and love to every life she touched. Sara was a beacon of light in her community, known for her loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled demeanor.

Sara was the beloved daughter of Ronsard Pierre Broussard, Sr., and the late Sandra S. Starr-Broussard. She was the cherished baby sister of Ronsard Pierre (Michiya) Broussard, Jr., Joel Adam Broussard, Cresia Sue Bryant, Renya Lachelle Jones, and Malita Emily Buchanan. Sara was also a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews who adored her deeply. She was a loving mother to her son, Timotheus Peoples, and daughter, Khaiah Ann Burroughs, who were the joy of her life. Sara's aunts, Lillie Taylor and Willie Dean Chapman, will miss her dearly, as will the rest of her extended family and friends.

Sara attended Wallace Community College, where she majored in early childhood education. Her passion for children and education led to a fulfilling career at the First United Methodist Church Children's Center. She was dedicated to shaping the minds of young children and ensuring they had a solid educational foundation. Her colleagues and the children she worked with will remember her as a caring and devoted educator.

A woman of deep faith, Sara was actively involved in several church groups. She believed in the power of community and the love of God, which she demonstrated through her daily actions. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she radiated that love to everyone she met.

Sara's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. A tender-hearted and compassionate person, she loved roller skating, and cooking, and was always trying to make a positive impact on anyone she came in contact with. She was the loudest cheerleader at her children's events, always supportive and incredibly proud of their achievements. Her beautiful smile was infectious and will be remembered by all who knew her.

As Mother Teresa once said, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Sara embodied this quote, living her life with great love and touching the lives of those around her with her kindness and generosity. She was a loving mother, a caring sister, a devoted daughter, and a faithful friend, whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Sara's life was a testament to her unyielding faith, her love for her family, and her dedication to her community. She will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and a symbol of faith. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide those she has left behind. Sara Ann Broussard may have left us in body, but her spirit will forever be a part of the lives she touched.

A celebration of Saras life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Mount Olive Seventh Day Adventist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.
