Obituary

James Leon Campbell, 69, of Dothan passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his residence.

 

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Sunday October 22, 2017 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Meadows and Larry McKay officiating. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Dothan, AL  36302.

 

Mr. Campbell was born December 6, 1947 in Dothan, AL where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Dothan High School and then later attended Gulf Coast College in Panama City, FL. He returned to Dothan in the 1980s where he was employed with Saben Appliance before opening BNJ Appliance that he co-owned and operated for several years. He later was employed with Tri-State Industrial Rubber. He recently received his real estate agent license and was an agent with Jack Hughes Realty at the time of his death.

 

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Campbell; his daughters, Amber (Lee) Hancock and Natalie Hilbert; his grandchildren, Brently Hancock, Dustyn Hilbert, and a very special grandson Dylan Martin; several nieces and nephews
