Mrs. Engquist was born June 22, 1925 in Worcester, MA to Sukias and Helen Mooradian. Shortly after her birth the family moved to Detroit, MI. She and her late husband Ralph, relocated to Dothan in 1981. Zora was a devout Christian who loved children and taught junior church for nearly 70 years. She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was proud of her Armenian Heritage and told others of how her parents were the only ones from their families to survive the Armenian Genocide perpetuated by the Ottoman Turks in the early 20th Century. She was particularly proud that these family members would not renounce their Christian faith. Mrs. Engquist was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, a sister and two brothers.

Survivors include her two sons, a daughter, a brother, Paul, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Kindred Hospice, especially nurse Karen Carroll and aide Glenda Coleman, for their loving care and support.

My beautiful Ya Ya one of the most devout people I have ever known. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul teaching so many to also love the Lord. She was most humble but lived her love of Jesus every day of her life. Your love and devotion will carry us until we are all together again with you and your beloved Ralph.
Thanks for all that you did for me in this life.
I will be looking for you when I am called so don't change your hair color so I can find you.

Mrs. Engquist was so kind to the children at our church. We could always tell she truly loved us and loved God. We saw her faith through years of faithful service and simple acts of love. We will miss her, but rejoice to know that she is happier than ever.

My sweet sweet Granny, I will miss you.
I thank the Lord that he gave me you and Papa.
It was your love for Jesus, your faithfulness in daily reading your Bible, your prayer life, your witness and consist walk with Him that I always admired. God heard your prayers Granny!! My children look up to you they know it's because of the prayers you and Papa prayed faithfully that we have chased after Jesus.
I read your favorite verse often, 1 John 2:15-17 and Papa's verse 2 Timothy 1:12. You my Granny have been a beautiful role model on how to love and serve Jesus. Until we meet again. I ❤️ U
