Our neighborhood will truly miss Mr. Raley shouting, "hello" across the yard and throwing up his hand. He was the kindest, friendliest individual and always willing to talk about his love for music. He lived in Circleview when we moved there in 1978. I married and moved to Atlanta, and recently came back to Dothan to help my mom. She passed recently and I moved back in her home. Nothing changed with Mr. Raley. He remained the same; talkative, friendly, always asking about my brother, Darren, that has Down Syndrome. I will truly miss looking across the yard and waving at and speaking to him!

Hugh and I were friends for about 45 years. We enjoyed many hours together writing and singing songs. I think maybe God needed to hear some real country music. Rest in Peace, My friend.
