On May 9, 2017, the Lord called Jesse Albert Richardson, III to join him in his heavenly home.

Born July 12, 1981 in Dothan, AL he graduated from Ashford High School  and worked at Northside Wal-Mart for 14 years until his health declined 5 years ago. A victim of Cystic Fibrosis , he fought a long hard battle. Jesse had a double lung transplant in 2014, making him able to enjoy 3 more years. To our family and all those who knew him he was our super hero and was known for his wit, charm, and smile. To know him was to love him. Our love for him will never end. He will always be with us.

Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Gary Frith officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home from 10am-11am.

Survivors include his mother and father, Jesse, Jr. and Janet Richardson; his brothers, Jacob Richardson, and Cody Jackson; his grandparents, David (Melba) McDonald of Ashford, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He is also survived by his Mayo Clinic family and special dear friend Stacia Lucas of Jacksonville, FL.

Jesse, you were one of the only people I clicked with from my transplant process. You were a stronger fighter but even stronger mentally. You always looked at the glass 3/4 full. Please keep that positive spirtit and give it to others. Rest easy Jesse

To the entire Richardson family:
Words cannot express my sorrow during this very difficult time. I was truly blessed to have known and loved Jess through the last 4 years of his life. He will live forever in our hearts. I am glad we were able to make the service and thank you for inviting us into your homes. My thoughts and prayers are with you, now and always.
All my love,
